Concerts and Performances

In addition to its longstanding tradition of the finest sacred music in worship, The Church of the Holy Trinity is pleased to use its space to host a vast array of concerts and performances. With the reconfiguration of the sanctuary in 2008, the capacity and flexibility of the space have been greatly expanded, leading to an increase in the number and variety of performances taking place each year.

Groups and individuals who have performed at The Church of the Holy Trinity in the past include the Academy of Vocal Arts, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, Curtis Institute Chamber Orchestra and the Keystone State Boychoir.

For information about renting the Church for a concert or performance, please see the Rentals page.

Every Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, we offer a lunchtime concert open to the public. Audience members are invited to come and enjoy a broad range of performances in the beautiful setting of the 19th century Romanesque sanctuary. Donations to help defray the cost of the concerts are greatly appreciated. For the most recent schedule of Concerts on the Square, please click here.

Each spring, the Music Committee holds an annual College Choir Festival that brings college choirs throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond to perform at our Church. Past choirs include the Harvard Glee Club, the Penn Glee Club, Temple University Choirs, Messiah College Concert Choir, Mount Holyoke Choir and the Jamestown College Choir. If your choir is interested in performing as part of the College Choir Festival, please contact the Assistant Organist, Benjamin Leiby:
