Wednesdays, August 7th & 14th from 5:15–6:00 pm
Add Yoga to your summer mindfulness practice.
Bring your own mat. All levels will enjoy the instruction. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian. In her leisure, when she isn’t a Professor of Art History, Dr. Emily Casey, a member of CHT, is also a Certified Yoga Instructor! Join us for 45 minutes of Free Yoga in the church. (Freewill offering accepted to benefit outreach programs.)

Different levels to accommodate ages 4 – adults and for 12+ the toughest level is available, but only for adventure junkies and expert climbers at over 60 feet high! Meet at the park by 1p. Bring your own lunch. Check in at 1:30p. If you are late, you will not be able to participate. Our adventure is from 2:00 – 4:30pm.

- Select Philly.
- Sign a waiver for each person participating.
- Go ahead and book now. Slots will fill up, so don’t wait until the last minute.
- Select Sunday, August 18, 2019, 2pm.
- Make your online payment.
- Send Soozung an email or text with who signed up and all of the ages.
- Meet there on the 18th and let the inner Ninja warrior out!
Parents MUST accompany all children under 18 years old. Parents do not need to climb with their child, but for all children between the ages of 4 – 6, one parents must stay on the ground. Check out the website for all important details related to having fun and being safe. We will attend rain or shine, unless there are high winds, thunder or lightening. Scholarships are available. Riverboat Tour departs
promptly at 7pm
Tours depart from the Walnut Street Dock, located under the Walnut Street Bridge on the east bank of the Schuylkill River.
We have secured a group rate for a riverboat tour Secrets of the Schuylkill. Take a one-hour fun and fact-filled guided tour that highlights the past, present and future of the Hidden River. Discover the sights, sounds, and history of the river, from the early 1700s at historic Bartram’s Garden, to the 1800s at the Fairmount Water Works, to award-winning 21st century skyscrapers. The boat is covered, so the tour goes on rain or shine, unless in extreme weather.
Stop by the Welcome Table at the back of the church after Sunday worship services to buy a ticket. Deadline is Sunday, August 11, 2019 to receive the special rate. $18/adult and $8/child under 12. Cash or check reserves your spot on the boat. (Scholarships available – please see our Rectors The Revs. Rachel or John Gardner.) If the riverboat tour is not your thing, join us after the tour for Free Movie Night on the Schuylkill. A League of Their Own (rated PG) begins at dusk about 8p. Movie location is East (Center City) side of the Schuylkill River, just north of the Walnut Street Bridge. Bring your friends, blanket and picnic basket. Free pre-movie raffle for gift cards from Philadelphia Runner and Saxbys. Snacks and beverages will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. This is just one of the many programs created by the Schuylkill River Development Corporation.
