The Church is Online!
The Church of the Holy Trinity is operating in compliance with the city’s stay-at-home orders, with guidance from the Diocese of Pennsylvania and our Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Daniel Gutierrez. Our highest priority is the safety of our visitors, staff, volunteers, and parishioners. In order to protect them and to support the nationwide effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, The Church of the Holy Trinity Rittenhouse is now online. When we can responsibly and safely reopen our front doors we will.
The church takes this responsibility very seriously. We are also following the guidance and guidelines of the CDC, Philadelphia Health Department, and the Bishop’s Office as we make changes or implement new policies. Please check social media or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about changes to our schedule or services.

Remember, that although we cannot yet be together in person we can worship together in spirit.
UPDATE: Message from the Rectors
Hello, parishioners and friends, old and new.
We miss seeing you all in person, and we want you to know that we love you and we pray for you every day.
Three weeks ago, we made the decision to return to worshiping in the church, with a small choir, a reader, and our family.
After three weeks, and much prayer and conversation, we have decided that we cannot be sure this is a safe to worship. It was not an easy decision to make, but we believe, in light of recent studies showing the danger of singing in enclosed spaces, we need to find a different way to praise God together.
Music is a fundamental part of our church and our history, and we know how much you love having music in our services. At the same time, the health and well-being of all our staff and parishioners. So, we will be pre-recording and editing a high-quality worship video that we will stream at 11:00 am on Sundays on Facebook Live. You will be able to view this worship at any time after it uploads. This service will look much like what we have streamed over the last few weeks. Doing our services in this way minimizes everybody’s risk and allows us to offer you the same beautiful music that is a hallmark of worship at CHT.
This new way of worship requires much more advance preparation, but it also allows us room for more development and innovation, like adding in the Bishop’s sermon when we are away and music from our children.
Though we can’t be together in person, we are still excited before every service, knowing that we are connected with you not just over the internet, but more importantly, through God’s Spirit and the Communion of Saints.
God bless you all!
John and Rachel
