A Safe and Caring Community at Holy Trinity

At The Church of the Holy Trinity, Rittenhouse Square, we are committed to creating a welcoming, nurturing, and safe environment for all members of our community, especially children, youth, and vulnerable populations. We believe that everyone is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with care, respect, and dignity in all aspects of parish life.

Our clergy, staff, and volunteers follow the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania’s Safe Church policies and the national standards of The Episcopal Church. This includes:

  • Completing required Safe Church training and ongoing education.
  • Undergoing background checks before hiring or participating in ministries with children, youth, or vulnerable adults.
  • Following clear guidelines and procedures to promote safety, accountability, and healthy relationships in all programs and worship services.
  • Responding promptly, respectfully, and appropriately to any concerns or reports of abuse, in accordance with diocesan policies and applicable law.
  • Clearly stating process for reporting in our Personnel Manual given to every staff member upon hiring.

We are committed to making our parish a place of trust, welcome, and safety for all. We invite anyone with questions or concerns about our Safe Church practices to contact our parish leadership directly.
