THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY

RENTALS

EVENT RENTALS

We open our doors to concerts and professional and semi-professional events of all sizes and do not require events to be religious in theme.

The Church of the Holy Trinity is an ideal setting for musical performances, art shows, dance and theater performances, and professional events. We are the largest venue on Rittenhouse Square, and our stunning aesthetics and excellent acoustics make our sanctuary a popular choice for both local and visiting groups.

  • The Church has seating for 800-1,000 people with uninterrupted views of the chancel/stage area.
  • The Parish House offers a cozy setting for smaller events, meetings, recitals, workshops, and classes. it has recently been renovated but still retains the charm of an old Victorian house. Also available is an adjoining kitchen. We can recommend an outstanding caterer or you can use your own. The Parish House is conveniently located next to the church on Walnut Street, close to public transportation and public parking lots. The House can accommodate 50-125 people dependent upon configuration of the space.

Parish House

This intimate space is a great location for small performances or gatherings. It can be used for a casual brunch before a wedding rehearsal or yoga class. The two large fireplaces add a cozy feel to the room, making it great for any event you have in mind! As it is a small space, we do not recommend more than 55 people per event. There is a small piano that can be made available upon request. If you are interested in the Parish House, please email Ella Christy at echristy@hrity.org.

This space is unavailable every Sunday morning.

Sanctuary Space

This sanctuary is the main area of the church. It can comfortably seat up to 750 people  in the historic church pews, which make for cozy audience seating. The amazing acoustics of the sanctuary make it ideal for both vocals and instrumental performances. There is a modest sound system in the church, which can be used for speech but the instruments and vocals generally do not need to be amplified because of the church's acoustics. We are especially proud of the Steinway piano in the sanctuary, which can be made available upon request. If you are interested in booking the Sanctuary space for a concert, large or small, please email Ella Christy at echristy@hrity.org.

This space is unavailable every Sunday morning.

GETTING MARRIED

According to our Christian faith, in marriage, each individual—both separately and together—transforms and matures in God’s presence and image. A wedding, then, is a sacred ritual that acknowledges and celebrates your desire to enter a lifelong relationship. Your marriage is a sacrament—an outward and visible sign of God’s grace bringing you together and nurturing your love.

WHO MAY BE MARRIED AT THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY?

The sacrament of marriage in the Episcopal Church is fully open to all couples, including same-gender couples.  Members of the Church have first priority for dates and the use of our clergy.  If you are not a member, you may contact the office and see the information below to determine whether your ceremony and our church are a good fit.

SCHEDULING WEDDINGS

Weddings may be held anytime throughout the year except during Lent (the six weeks before Easter), during clergy vacations, and during most major secular holiday weekends. Parish events will also take priority over weddings. To schedule weddings, we require at least six months notice and we cannot schedule more than 18 months in advance. Premarital counseling is required of all couples.

GETTING STARTED ON YOUR WEDDING

Please also check date availability with the church office before sending any booking fee. We cannot hold dates until both application and booking fee are received. Please contact Ella Christy at echristy@htrit.org or call 215-567-1267 ext-11 for more information.
